The rest of the industrialized world gets universal health care. The U.S. gets limited access at a far higher cost.

It's time for Americans to get the health care system they want, and the savings that go with it.

"Fucking Frank, jerking you around for a shitload of money"

Fuck you, Frank.

It’s disturbing enough to ponder the extent to which the American government has authorized and defended certain practices, such as torture and secret prisons, which are characteristic of fascist, authoritarian, and totalitarian political systems. Even worse, though, is the extent to which self-proclaimed defenders of traditional Christian morality have been willing to either openly support or at least turn a blind eye to these practices. People who spend a lot of time crying out that America is a Christian Nation are spending little if any time proclaiming that torture and secret prisons are incompatible with Christian morality.

Karl Rove's bad weekend continues.

Turning Back the Clock on Rape

Rhonda Copelon, a professor of law at the City University of New York who was an author of the international law on rape as a war crime, says the bill also could make it impossible to prosecute rape or sexual assault as torture, because the definition of torture in the legislation requires proof of specific intent to commit the crime. Motive is very hard to prove in cases of rape or sexual assault.

I mean, you'll take all the fun out of torture if you can't rape children?

we're engaged in this utterly surreal dance where the morally blind are leading the ignorant.

Creating immunity retroactively for violating the law sets a terrible precedent. The president takes an oath of office to uphold the Constitution; that document requires him to obey the laws, not violate them. A president who knowingly and deliberately violates U.S. criminal laws should not be able to use stealth tactics to immunize himself from liability, and Congress should not go along.

U.S a Dictatorship? The Number & Magnitude of the felonies Chimpy committed is breath taking. Un-fucking-believable.

Turd Blossom & Chimpy ain't gonna like this...Good! I hope they're good and pissed.
