Let me clear it up for any moron with lingering doubts: It’s worse. It’s over. You lost.

You lost the day your tanks rolled into Baghdad to the cheers of your imported, American-trained monkeys. You lost every single family whose home your soldiers violated. You lost every sane, red-blooded Iraqi when the Abu Ghraib pictures came out and verified your atrocities behind prison walls as well as the ones we see in our streets. You lost when you brought murderers, looters, gangsters and militia heads to power and hailed them as Iraq’s first democratic government. You lost when a gruesome execution was dubbed your biggest accomplishment. You lost the respect and reputation you once had. You lost more than 3000 troops. That is what you lost America. I hope the oil, at least, made it worthwhile.

The GOP no more cares about soldiers than farms care about shit.

This is just the greatest post.

Wow. What if your Dad was such a republ(-ic)an asshole, that killing yourself was the only way out?

The GOP refuses to deal with reality.

They refuse to deal with the losing war, the fact that we treat veterans like shit, that Bush's plan is doomed. They think their cowardly words matter.

...And when anyone intrudes on this cowardly, disgusting picture, you get the vile spectacle of Brit Hume, adulterer, lecturing Jack Murtha on service to this country.

...Yet, he dares to tell Jack Murtha that he doesn't know anything about the military. Who the fuck is he kidding? Anyone with a clue knows he's the Pentagon's go to guy. They are so wedded to their fantasies, that they lie to people. If Juan Williams was a man, he would have told Hume to just stop fucking lying.

Hume's lack of self-knowledge would be comic if it weren't so hateful. Like so many white conservative males, he's seething with anger and touchy superiority, yet has apparently convinced himself that it's everybody else who's being emotional. He--he sees things as they are, with rational proportion and worldly perspective; it's women and girly-men liberals and other moral weaklings who lets their sloppy feelings get the best of them. But challenge Brit's patriarchal authority and or contradict him once too often and he goes Aguirre, Wrath of God on you.

They don’t like being challenged by blogs.

Apparently, being called to task on your crimes is unsettling.

Every email you send, every IM, every file you send, the US government sees. Every. Single. One.

...they reported these hoaxes and smear jobs with all the incredulity of a three year old sitting on a mall Santa's lap.

The major media has never copped to their role in the tabloid sideshow that politics in the 90's became. They have never copped to their part in elevating Bush to the status of demigod and running beside him like a bunch of eunuchs waving palm fronds during the lead-up to the war. Even today we see them pooh-poohing the significance of a federal trial that exposes them for whores to Republican power.

"I honestly believe, that in certain parts of America now, people have started to mate with vegetables."

Go 'Bama, Go 'Bama, Go 'Bama Go!!

Fuck you, Dick.

But now, as Mrs. Clinton is running for the Democratic presidential nomination, Mr. Scaife’s checkbook is staying in his pocket.

Christopher Ruddy, who once worked full-time for Mr. Scaife investigating the Clintons and now runs a conservative online publication he co-owns with Mr. Scaife, said, “Both of us have had a rethinking.”

Clinton wasn’t such a bad president,” Mr. Ruddy said. “In fact, he was a pretty good president in a lot of ways, and Dick feels that way today.”

Mr. Ortega doesn't think matching answers to audiences is a good thing.

Me, I like a candidate who's flexible.

The Top 10 Conservative Idiots, No. 279

Welcome to the 279th edition of the Top 10 Conservative Idiots. This week, Frank Gaffney and Don Young (1) take a trip to fantasyland, The New York Post (2) needs a few basic lessons in American democracy, and Joseph McDade (5) literally gets caught with his pants down. Meanwhile there's State Legislature Madness as local politicians Stacey Campfield (3), Thayer Verschoor (4), and Jeff Miller (9) all make the list. Enjoy... and don't forget the key!

BREAKING: NM Senate Rules Committee Passes Bush-Cheney Impeachment Resolution

Now the measure goes to the New Mexico State Legislature. If it passes there, then under the Jefferson House Rules, the US House of Representatives must immediately undertake impeachment proceedings.

If they fail to do their constitutional duty, then We The People will need about 500 nooses. - M. R

Why aren't repubs, conservatives and neocons pissed?

With a failed war in Iraq and Afghanistan close behind, untold lives destroyed and billions (trillions?) of dollars lost, wasted or stolen why is it that all the repugs can do is...defend a failed ideology, movement and political party. The repubs are responsible for the greatest single strategic failure in the history of the US, and they have no interest in actually fixing anything.

Oh, and I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that Chimpy will complete his totalitarian reign with a nice little bombing of Iran because, lets be fair. It's the most dangerous, failure prone course of action any incompetent leader could make. You gotta admit: Chimpy has got the reverse Midas touch.

It's really a shame repugs are such petty, incompetent and criminally negligent children.

How many times do Republicans get to be totally wrong on national security before the Americans catch on that they have never had the faintest clue?

Never the less, it's quite astonishing to see how casually Republicans discussed cutting off funding and how they offered legislation to do it --- and all the other things they now purport are outrageous betrayals of the military. There were troops on the ground then too --- Dornan was headed out to Tuszla to visit them. (They knew, of course, that they wouldn't be baited by rightwing character assassins for doing so, so they do have freedom that Democrats don't have.)

These principled conservatives really get you coming and going don't they?
