McCain camp is now completely panicked because they see his decision being criticized for poor judgement.
the GOP putting its foot down and basically chastising McCain for showing lousy judgement, will force Palin out, and blame Obama. This is all excellent news for John McCain.

Republicans believe that the only purpose of government is to take taxpayers money to enrich the already wealthy.
All else is superfluous. Naturally, they haven't fixed anything. They don't know how to make government perform for the people because they don't want to. A big disaster is a big opportunity.
David Frum: McCain fucked up on Palin.

Yes. Yes, you did. McCain's over-reaction and inability to thin things through doomed republican chances. McCain's incompetent handlers have NOT EVEN VETTED HER. They are just now checking into TROOPERGATE.
Top McCain aide says McCain won't die during his first term in office, and admits Palin isn't ready to be commander in chief
So Black, the guy who said another 9/11-style attack on America would help McCain's campaign, is saying that McCain's VP doesn't know a thing about national security, but she can learn on the job over the next four years, you know, like night school.
Palin's jewish voter problem
1. McCain is 72 years old.
2. He's had 4 bouts of cancer.
3. His VP choice has no experience in foreign policy or national security whatsoever.
4. She wanted anti-Semite Pat Buchanan to be president.

McCain blames his unpopularity on his POW experience
So Obama gave a speech to 90,000 people. I'm not impressed with big rallies. I spent five and a half years in Hanoi giving speeches to a crowd composed of a single rat, dammit.
So I’ve got news for you, John McCain. We all put our country first.
Nice to see the republcant party imploding. That's important, because Obama's win has to have a wide enought margin so Karl can't steal another election.

“Republicans are asking for another four years — in a just world, they’d get 10 to 20.”
Kucinich’s convention speech edited.
John McCain, lying to the American Legion:
I suppose from my opponent’s vantage point, veterans concerns are just one more issue to be spun or worked to advantage. This would explain why he has also taken liberties with my position on the GI Bill. In its initial version, that bill failed to address the number one education request that I’ve heard from career service members and their families—the freedom to transfer their benefits to a spouse or a child. The bill also did nothing to retain the young officer and enlisted leaders who form the backbone of our all-volunteer force.
And of course the media will give him a pass.
