Wall Street owns every one of you.

It was a coup d'état.
...people are pissed off about this financial crisis, and about this bailout, but they're not pissed off enough. the reality is that the worldwide economic meltdown and the bailout that followed were together a kind of revolution, a coup d'état. they cemented and formalized a political trend that has been snowballing for decades: the gradual takeover of the government by a small class of connected insiders, who used money to control elections, buy influence and systematically weaken financial regulations.

Rabbis: "Ethnic cleanse"...er..."get rid of the gentiles" in Gaza!

JERUSALEM — Rabbis affiliated with the Israeli army urged troops heading into Gaza to reclaim what they said was God-given land and "get rid of the gentiles" — effectively turning the 22-day Israeli intervention into a religious war, according to the testimony of a soldier who fought in Gaza.

Camp 22. North Korea's playground for rape, starvation and unimaginable torture.

Camp 22 is a North Korean prison for political prisoners. Camp 22 is known as: Kwan-li-so No.22 Haengyong. 'Kwan-li-so' is Korean for 'education'. It is located in north-east North Korea, on the border with Russia and China, 20 km from the city of Hoeryong. This camp is surrounded by the following villages: Wŏn-dong, Ssŏgŭndari, Kulsal-li, Haengyŏng-ni (headquarters of the camp), Naksaeng-ni and Chungch’u-dong. Its location is: 42°34'29"N, 129°53'3"E.

"At that time the tunnel was passing near the pig pen of the camp, and about 500 political prisoners were participating and there was one female named Han Jin Duk, 26 years old. I was in charge of giving food to the pigs. And my supervisor, when he saw the woman, she was beautiful. And he raped her, and he was found by the watchman officer. And he was investigated. My superior, his rank was reduced and the woman was sent to the detention center And then I didn’t see her for one year.
...
One day I was going to the place to load the coal, I met her. And I noticed she was exactly that woman, and I asked her, how you could survive. And she told me, that yes, I survived. But she showed me her body, and it was all burned by fire.
...
After six months I met her at the corn storage in Kusan district and found her putting on a used tire on her knees because her legs were cut off. Because of a coal mine wagon ran over her knees. And all she could do now was separate the corn grains from the cob.
..
The reason why she was forced to go to the prison is her father’s elder brother was purged at the Anbyon, Kanwhan Do province. She went when she was 5 years old. All of the family members were imprisoned. Her mother starved to death, and her brother also starved to death in the prison. I met her at age 26. So it means she was in the prison for 21 years. I think she no longer is in the world."

Oklahoma's state legislature is investigating the University of Oklahoma for hosting a speech by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins.

Oklahoma is officially a pedantic, fucked up place.

“Decision Points”

So, Chimpy is going to 'write' a book. Decision implies rational thought. An aptly name book by Chimpy on the subject would be "Crap Shoot". Chimpy thinks as well as William Shatner acts.
Further evidence of "Crap Shoot" is that Chimpy wants to talk about why he says he stopped drinking. Now, if you think this cocksucker is sober, we have a nice ghost-written book for you!

The Geneva Convention says the Red Cross will decide what is torture. The Red Cross says the US committed torture.

The Red Cross says treatment of detainees "constituted torture."

"The Geneva Conventions, to which the United States is a signatory, establishes how it shall be determined whether 'torture' has been committed," Olbermann observed. "The ultimate deciding body, as agreed to by our country, is -- the Red Cross."

"The debate is over," Olbermann concluded. "Let the Bush war crime prosecutions begin."

Rush is a closeted homosexual with a penchant for child pornography

Political commentator, radio host, college drop-out, alleged
closet homosexual, and, as recently revealed, synthetic heroin
drug addict, Rush Hudson Limbaugh III is probably the best
known neocon personality in American radio.

Attaturk has a nice rant going...

...here.

And also because fuck them.

In praise of class warfare

'Executive assassination ring' reported directly to Cheney

No congressional oversight either.
"It’s an executive assassination ring essentially, and it’s been going on and on and on," Hersh stated. "Under President Bush’s authority, they’ve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them and leaving. That’s been going on, in the name of all of us."

Apparently the CIA got in on the act too. Hersh also says:
Hersh replied, "After 9/11, I haven’t written about this yet, but the Central Intelligence Agency was very deeply involved in domestic activities against people they thought to be enemies of the state. Without any legal authority for it. They haven’t been called on it yet."

So many people to kill and harass. So little time.
