Michael Steele uses former Gov. Christie Todd Whitman as proof Republicans are a 'Big Tent' party. She quit the GOP in 2003
She was so happy with the GOP that she quit the Republicans in 2003 after she was picked to lead the EPA in 2001 by Bush and then refused to do their bidding.
It was Rainin' Oreo's I tell's ya!!
Woe is George Bush.

I am heartsick that one man’s religion was used so callously against him. To have prefaced defense briefings in biblical words intended to drive an agenda rather than actually inform the President is heinous. How many of our military and innocent civilians of a sovereign country have died because defense reports were presented with crusade slogans, rather than “Love thy neighbor” or “Thou shalt not kill”? I never thought I would stand up to defend our former President because I think he has much to answer for. However, he has said himself that he is just a simple God fearing man and trusted advisers took advantage of him by using God as the gateway to lead him through and do their bidding.

Fire Major General Glen Shaffer. Now.
Major General Glen Shaffer, a director for intelligence serving both the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the secretary of defense, is responsible for this. It begs the question: what other bat-shit superstitions cloud his judgement? And how did this poor reasoning hurt or kill Americans? You see, faith is not a course of action.
If he is still on active duty, he needs to be fired for his own good.
His profound stupidity is why seperation of church and state is such a good idea. It saves america from weak minded cowards who can't tell when to shut the fuck up.
Not just fucked up, but unbelievable tone deaf and offensive.
Talk about manufacturing reality.

Atrios, Digby, "The Village" and Bill Maher.
If you want to know why "The Village" exists, watch Bill Maher try to obtain balance on his show. He goes out of his way to placate bat shit repuglican opinions for what? He thinks it gives him credit with the domestic-terrorist-right-wing-republicants, but it doesn't. It never pays to placate or appease stupid.
Bill Maher appeases stupid. "The Village" is both republican AND stupid. Stop it. Just fucking stop it.

Amy Holmes & Richard Brookhiser...
...are assholes. Supreme assholes.
P.S. For the last time today, Bill Maher needs to be scorch the tent and burn repugs. Stop with the clamping down on liberal 'clapping'.

Is Rick Perry a closeted homosexual?
Please fucking leave. Please. You rednecks would instantly be officially 3rd world instead of just de facto. Fuck you, New Texas. Take Tom Delay with you. The rest of the US will build a huge fence to keep you cocksucker types out of the northern 49. Don't mess with texas!

Uh, that's kind of the way beauty pageants work
you get asked a question, you answer, and then the judges vote on how well they like your answer. Could the Republicans be bigger victims?
Making a boob-job bimbo some icon of free speech is, well, very Palin-esque. But then again, the woman who thought Africa was a country is hardly our guiding light.

closeted homosexual Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) defends torture and says something really, really, really dumb.
The Vice President is suggesting that there was good information obtained, and I’d like the committee to get that information. Let’s have both sides of the story here. I mean, one of the reasons these techniques have survived for about 500 years is apparently they work.
FBI interrogator Ali Soufan retorted that the Sen was fucking stupid.
Former FBI interrogator Ali Soufan responded, “Because, sir, there’s a lot of people who don’t know how to interrogate, and it’s easier to hit somebody than outsmart them.”

Charlie Crist Senate Run May Face Conservative Revolt
Because republicans prefer to alienate their homosexuals. More importantly, who does Lush Rimbaugh think should run?
Bush Failure To Disclose Waterboarding Appears To Violate Law
The furor over when and whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was briefed about the use of waterboarding has distracted attention from what is, perhaps, a far more problematic revelation regarding the Bush administration's interrogation of suspected terrorists.
Chimpy's conspiracy to commit war crimes.
So in the fall of 2002, members of Congress were either told only that the government was considering or planning the use of waterboarding or were kept in the dark entirely about the technique. Both Pelosi and Graham insist that latter is true. And if that is, in fact, the case, it would seem to place the Bush administration outside the law requiring disclosure of intelligence activities.
Yesterday, CNN said US special forces were being held in IRAQ
When talking ablout Roxana Seberi, CNN mentioned US forces being held in Iran. A quick check of google doesn't show anything. Has anyone heard anything?
