Can you imagine Bush and Karl Rove allowing themselves to be paraded through Washington on a leash by some dimwit Republican Senator of a state with six people in it the way the Obama White House this summer is allowing Max Baucus (favorite son of the mighty state of Montana) to frog-march them to a one-term presidency?

RIDDLE:

If Dick Cheney were caught red-handed tossing burning kittens at homeless veterans from the White House lawn, what would be the first three words out of Cokie Roberts' mouth?
A: "But the Democrats...."

Like an anchor around the neck of the republican party, Ross Douthat support the GOP.

He said so. On Real Time. Good for him. By the way. You ain't no leader. Let's put an end to your grandiose dreams.

Gay CIA plant is Shocked That the Insurance Industry is Feeding Right Wing Radio Hosts Talking Points

Add Anderson Cooper to the list of main stream media hosts that at least bothered to have industry whistleblower Wendell Potter on their show. Cooper is just shocked that right wing writers and radio hosts are taking their talking points from the insurance industry. I wasn't surprised given they're already reading off all of the RNC talking points for the day that are sent to them.

But why?

I'd be curious to hear what someone like Bartlett thinks about why the situation is as he describes. He says he's baffled, so obviously he doesn't think he knows, but like me I assume he at least has some half-baked theories.

Like maybe because New Corporation, General Electric, Disney, Time Warner, Viacom, and CBS Corporation are run by six old, rich, selfish, white, republican men who fuck the America Government for corporate greed?

Republicans seem to be treated as if they have more credibility than the administration.

Just look at the silly issue of death panels. The media should have laughed it out the window, ridiculed it or at least ignored it once it was determined that there was no basis to the charge. Instead, those making the most outlandish charges are treated with deference and respect, while those that actually have credibility on the subject are treated as equals at best and often with deep skepticism, as if they are the ones with an ax to grind.

I am truly baffled by this situation, as I'm sure you are.

We're not supposed to point and laugh at their humiliating ideas and attacks -- we're supposed to negotiate with them?
