Betsy McCaughey is a famous liar whom the media keep inviting on their programs to continue to lie about health care,

where she belongs, to lie to woodland creatures. And so, today she ended up on Dylan Ratigan's Morning Meeting with Representative Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.). There was a brief, mad moment where I thought that this might end well, but it didn't.

Accept the Logic of Hell:

Applying logic with its full force and effect, as in not denying or downplaying the very real existence of Hell or the Devil.

Loser John McCain was a fabulous booking.

Honestly, I wasn't really happy with the dismissive little pat on the head from the Villager who thought that little blogger like me couldn't understand why McCain was a reasonable booking.

Here is a segment I would LOVE to see you do with Sen. McCain: why don't you invite my colleague, David Neiwert, author of The Eliminationists, on to discuss how the violent rhetoric that used to be relegated to the fringes of the Republican Party which has been mainstreamed since Obama's election and let Sen McCain respond to that? After all, he is the one who brought Sarah Palin to the national stage (and as I recall, actually said on your program that Palin was his "soul mate" after having only had one phone conversation and a short meeting with her before asking her on the ticket) and there is no other politician who has tapped so proficiently into that zeitgeist. I think it would be beneficial for Americans to hear someone of Sen. McCain's gravitas and stature disavow the kind of violent and racist rhetoric we've all seen. I'm more than happy to provide you with contact information for Mr. Neiwert if you are so inclined.

But if you're not interested in putting Sen. McCain on the spot, perhaps next time you do a show on the problems we're facing in Afghanistan, the "balance" you seek would be better achieved by putting on a politician who favors withdrawal, like Rep. Alan Grayson, instead of two hawks who will both say that the most important thing is "winning" in Afghanistan without actually explaining what "winning" means or how we can achieve it militarily. Where's the balance in that for your viewers?

US behind in internet speed, healthcare, fast trains, economics...The US is third world now. It's behind on...

everything. The US is now behind Russia. We'd site more examples, but no one reads the blog.

They are not for America, they are for Team GOP

And you can extend this out to the nonsensical Olympics controversy. As Alan Grayson said today, "Someone should remind them what team they're on." Actually, I think they know. Team GOP

Jim DeMint is acting on behalf of, in cahoots with, and against the foreign policy of the United States of America

The Logan Act forbids “unauthorized citizens” from negotiating with foreign governments. In a 1936 Supreme Court ruling, Justice Sutherland wrote that “the President alone has the power” and “the Senate cannot intrude, and Congress itself is powerless to invade it.”

And he is paid five fucking million dollars a year!

The media turned into a bunch of gossipy scandalmongers eager for any right wing piece of dirt they could smear on Clinton and the Democrats, all the while protesting that they had nothing to do with it. Matthews doesn't even know the most basic facts and he was reporting it at the time.

Now we see how Glenn Beck gets himself properly weepy for the cameras:

A little Vicks Vaporub.

Right wing cuts off nose, despites face.

We were going to go with "Unpatriotic Right Wing Scumnbags root against America", but we went the civil route.

Looks like Elaine Morgan's Aquatic Ape Theory was right.

Missing link found.

The problem is it is doing it in the wrong place at the wrong time--at least according to conventional wisdom, which says our kind first stood up on two legs when they moved out of the forest and onto open savanna grasslands. At the time Ardi lived, her environment was a woodland, much cooler and wetter than the desert there today.

...by the way, media idiots, he didn't compare health care death to the Holocaust, he compared it to a holocaust. That's the definition of the word

"an act of mass destruction and loss of life." What else would you call the needless deaths of 45,000 Americans every year due to lack of health insurance, while political leaders stand mute? I call it "an accurate description."

But seriously, it's not because black.

So stop saying that.

We can mock Kent Conrad for not being aware of the fact that not every European country's health care system is like the NHS

but consider the bubble he must operate in for that to be the case. None of his legislative staffers ever exposed him to this idea? Not once during this whole health care discussion did anyone break through his brain shield and communicate this to him? And this isn't about some crazy left wing idea or opinion, it's a basic and relevant fact about health care systems.

"He says, 'We don't understand it. You're trying to make sure everybody has health care and they're putting a Hitler mustache on you

-- I don't -- that doesn't make sense to me. Explain that to me.'"
