Allen has been accused of a racially-charged incident at around the same time as the court record. Allen's former football teammate, R. Kendall Shelton, alleged not long ago that he, Allen, and a third friend stuffed a deer-head into the mailbox of a black person. According to the Washington Post, Shelton said the incident took place in 1973 or 1974. Allen denies the allegation, and there's no evidence that this court record is related to that alleged incident.
