The pre-Xmas "new way forward" in Iraq has been put off until January.

More than 10,000 guests will attend 24 parties in 20 days. Another 35,000 people are expected to tour the White House over the holidays.
Let's see... starting from last Thursday, 20 days puts us at... January 4. Then comes a 4-day weekend to lose the hangover, and there we are, in the second week of January already.
