Also, I have no idea what an abscess looks like on a cat, this just looked like a pussy nasty hole. I’m worried enough that I will get him to the vet ASAP in the morning, but he is not acting sluggish (more so than usual) or in pain, so maybe you all are right and this is a common cat injury.
