Sessions was quoted as saying, "Fuck 'em. They are mostly immigrants, aren't they?"
Sessions is clearly a front runner for Jim DeMints title as biggest asshole republican senator. So, the bill was not exactly what he and his asshole buddies wanted. So instead of voting NO, Sessions held 12 million American kids hostage, then molested them. One wonders if Sessions could of been charged under the very bill he put a hold on.
Joined in agreement with Jeff Sessions in opposition to the The Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Deterrence and Victims Support Act of 2010, was the Concerned Women for America (CWA). It is impossible not to speculate that the CWA has one or more old white MALE Tea-Baggers on the board telling those lesser spirits what to think.
None the less, the CWA thinks that after a child is victimized as a sex slave, the those same children should be criminally victimized, for their own good. Try and decipher this:
“CWA believes in keeping the prostitution laws in place, even for minors.” They argued that it is necessary to criminalize the child victim of sex trafficking because “…we must leave the laws in place to create another layer of protection for victims and the bill does not do so. The laws enable police to investigate these crimes and intercede.”
So the CWA argument is that doing nothing (leaving the laws in place) creates something.
