US in Italy. From this lady

This is one of those issues that gets way more complex than it looks on paper. The US has been meddling in Italy for a long time and it’s essentially been a satellite state of US intelligence interests since the 1970s. Aldo Moro was not killed by genuine “Red Brigades,” but by a “stay-behind network” of unreconstituted WWII-era intelligence assets that had wormed its way int o a controlling position in NATO intelligence. The US was deathly afraid of communists winning elections in Italy in the 1970s, so phony “red brigades” were set up to commit violent crimes, and then crimes that even these phony “red brigades” had nothing to do with were blamed on them anyway. Berlusconi’s right-wing coalition includes the last remnants of Mussolini’s fascist apparatus, and that far-right fringe has always been crawling with NATO intelligence officials operating in an undercover capacity. When Berlusconi fell ou of power for a time, it was NATO intelligence that steered him back into power, and they’re propping him up now by holding his coalition toether even though the entire country hates his guts.
