America’s top national security experts say that the NSA’s mass surveillance program doesn’t make us safer … and that whistleblowers revealing the nature and extent of the program don’t harm America.
Meanwhile, the guy who by any standard is violating the US constitution (any standard except the psychopathic opinions in the DOJ or the tools in congress that authorized the insanly paranoid Patriot Act) reminds us to be afraid.
"The head of the National Security Agency defended his agency's broad electronic surveillance programs Wednesday, saying that they have helped thwart dozens of terrorist attacks and that their recent public disclosure has done 'great harm' to the nation's security," the Washington Post reports.
The tinsy problem with everything about this is the absence of accountablity to the citizens of the US much less to congress. You are just little people, so shut the fuck up. The US has people to kill and spy on in your name, but you don't get to say anything and the congress people to whom you elect cant do anything either.
