A number of articles have been written recently about the activities of the Plunge Protection Team; the secretive group (comprised of the SEC, US Treasury, Federal Reserve, and Investment Banks) which allegedly buys futures to forestall violent sell-offs in the market. The Fed’s desperate infusions of credit into the banking system will only reinforce growing suspicions of market manipulation.
